Since we have been doing these audio journal entries weekly, going back and listening to them has made me realize how much things have changed throughout the school year and shown me what college has really been like. There were a few main points I talked about a few times with what it has been like for me since being in college. One of these points being that I have been driving my friends everywhere. I talk about that a bit in my seventh audio journal entry. I talk about being one of the only people out of my friends with a car, and how I end up having to drive them everywhere, and even drive them home. I was very lucky to have the opportunity to have my car on campus so it makes sense but I am constantly driving everywhere, and I was not ready for that. I also talked about in my ninth audio journal entry how I went to visit a friend at their college and I realized just how different the college environments were. He goes to IU, which is a very large school and UNE is not. Another thing I talked about a lot was how I have a good amount of free time, and I was listening back to my audio journal entries and in my first one I had talked about how I had little to no freetime the first week of school because we had all of these orientation activities. Listening to the difference between the first audio journal and my most recent, I had so many things to talk about with my first one and recently listening to them I feel like I have not been able to talk about a lot of activities I have done because I don’t really do anything during the days. I had so much energy at the beginning of the semester because it was a new environment and I was so excited to start this new chapter of my life and now I just take naps and eat food in my free time. It is either that or just doing homework. Correlating with this, in my fifth audio journal entry I talk about how the workload hits you like a bus. Which could also be why I am not doing as many things as I was in the beginning of the semester. There was a week of only hanging out with my friends and doing nothing else until the next day when I got assigned like 30 homework assignments at once. Listening to these audio journal entries has helped me see how different the semester started out versus how it is going now.
