I am taking a public speaking course this semester and for one of the assignments, we had to write a narrative speech and present it to the class. It took me a long time to figure out what I wanted to write about and tell the class about me, but one of the most influential things in my life was softball. Softball has always been a safe space for me and it brought me closer to my Dad and I will forever be thankful for the sport and all of the people it has given me. I wrote about my start to softball, why it’s so important to me, and then I wrote about where I am with it now.
