While going through the themes in the Core Handbook for UNE, I felt like they were crucial things to know and I thought the idea of having a theme for each year was very creative and helpful for the students. While reading and going through it, I noticed that right now my current class schedule is only partially following the first year theme. For example, one mathematics course is required and I am currently taking statistics, but there is also one laboratory science required, and I am not taking one currently. I am not taking an Introduction to Environmental Issues this semester either, which is the main theme of this year. As of right now I have only one class that would relate to the theme of this year, which is this class.
2 Questions:
- Why is the social and global thing the theme for the second year when it should be more of an explore class?
- Why is creative arts a mandatory class?
